The unknown gift sources- Finding something special for someone special
Sunday, August 29th, 2010“Shopping for presents is hard”? No it isn’t, if you do some homework on your recipient. Everybody has something they like, and something they really want. It’s just a matter of finding out what it is. A person may want a cooper st dress, a special book, a train or a giraffe. The problem is usually that some people are so reticent about what they really want that it’s like mining coal to find out.
Usually, of course, it’s the really special people, the ones you truly want to give something special, who are the hard cases. Then there’s the really special person who’s likely to appreciate anything, as long as it’s something interesting or unique. They sincerely appreciate these gifts, more than they’ll ever say. (These are also the really intelligent people who can drive anyone up the wall when it’s their birthday, but the challenge is fun.)
There are two basic schematics for giving a special person an special gift, the basic and the advanced approaches to gift hunting:

Sourcing gifts can be like interplanetary exploration, particularly if you don’t know much about what your special person likes. You’re exploring a different, unknown world. It’s easier than it looks, though.
